3 Fulltime Seasonal H-2A Jobs available 6/5/2021-11/14/2021. Manually plant, cultivate, & harvest fruits, grain & vegetables such as apples, strawberries, pumpkins & squash. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, & knives. Duties include tilling soil & applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops; apply pesticides; and cleaning, packing and loading harvested products. Construct trellises, repair fences & farm buildings and participate in irrigation activities. Picking rocks out of the fields onto a wagon prior to harvest. Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow & fertilize soil or to plant, cultivate spray & harvest crops. Repair & maintain farm vehicles, implements & mechanical equipment. Harvest apples by hand. Harvesting strawberries into quart baskets & putting pumpkins & squash into crates in the field. Washing & packing squash & pumpkins into cardboard boxes for delivery. Apply pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers to crops. Inform farmers or farm manager of crop progress. Identify plants, pests, & weeds to determine the selection & application of pesticides & fertilizers. Clear and maintain irrigation ditches. Record information about crops, such as pesticides use, yields or costs. All fruit to be handled with care to avoid bruising. Requirements: * Workers referred as a result of this order must have a minimum of three months of verifiable experience in performing the tasks described in his order. * Must be physically able to lift up to 75 lbs on a consistent basis throughout the day. * Once hired employer may conduct random drug tests at employer's expense. * Exposure to extreme temps, repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping/bending. * The employer will provide 7 days of training for worker to reach production standards pick a minimum of 5 (20 bu) bins per day for fresh market apples and 7 (20 bu) bins per day for processing apples, with no more than 1% bruising per day.
