Product Manager Sr., Behavioral Health and EAP
Are you a seasoned product development manager with experience building and managing successful digitally-enabled virtual health care programs? Have you owned a product roadmap and managed a disciplined strategic process for developing ideas and taking them to market?

Our Commercial Product division is establishing a new Behavioral Health team tasked with reimagining our entire behavioral health and EAP product portfolio. This includes the introduction of many new digitally-enabled virtual capabilities to create a barrier-free consumer experience.
As a senior product manager, you will own the strategic vision for your products. You will lead collaborative workgroups comprised of multidisciplinary stakeholders to oversee and shape the creation of new products from concept to launch. Your strategy will be managed through a formal product lifecycle management process and will be rationalized by data and your knowledge of our clients’ evolving needs and the changing competitive landscape.

Champions the vision and guides the product strategy and roadmap for your products.
Sets development priorities and secures stakeholder alignment along the way.
Initiates the implementation of new products or product changes/enhancements.
Provide necessary sales/product training to increase product awareness.
Provide sales/client support to promote product penetration and value
Ensures collaborative workflow and checks and balances are maintained at each stage of development by following Anthem’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) approach.
Determines customer needs and preferences through research and analysis of industry technology, current processes, and other methods.
Routinely tracks product and reports performance and relevant changes in the competitive environment
Supports the development of short and long-term strategic product promotions in support of market, sales, and profitability objectives.
Ensures products meet competitive and legislative needs.
Identifies operating requirements to support short and long-term product strategy.
Refines policies/processes that increase the speed, accuracy, and agility of our product development approach.
Requires a BA/BS degree; MBA preferred; requires 4 years of relevant industry experience (product/program management, product planning/strategy); or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Experience in the health care industry and/or managed care is required.
In lieu of behavioral health and/or EAP, candidates MUST have experience with complex, clinical products that support any of the following conditions: musculoskeletal, cancer, heart failure, diabetes, lung disorders, kidney disease, organ failure, morbid obesity, mental health, and substance abuse etc.
Proven experience managing cross-functional teams including leadership from clinical operations, underwriting, finance, insurance benefit configuration, sales, and marketing.
Demonstrated results in three or more of the following areas required: Product Development, Clinical Program Management, Market Strategy, Market Research, or Risk Management.
- Direct product management experience with behavioral health and employee assistance programs is highly desirable and places you in the top-tier list of candidates.

Annual Salary Range*: $86,016 - $107,520
Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
