Product Manager Sr - Behavioral Health Advantage
Are you a seasoned product development manager with experience creating innovative behavioral healthcare programs? Have you managed a disciplined strategic process for developing ideas and taking them to market? If so, this important position might be right for you.
As we are investing in innovation, we are looking for a product manager who uses their strategic skills and creativity to own and manage the roadmap for a soon to be launched industry-leading behavioral health product, designed for specifically for the Employer market.
In this important role, you will report to the Senior Director who oversees all of our Behavioral Health and EAP programs and is tasked with transforming our entire portfolio. You will be the end-to-end owner of this new product. You will track performance, introduce next-stage enhancements, and be a source of truth to our Sales and Marketing organization to ensure the program is correctly positioned and sold in the market. Monitoring competitors, industry trends, and new market opportunities are also your responsibility.

Masterful at cross-functional communication and team building to ensure all clinical and non-clinical stakeholders have everything needed to collaborate effectively.
Champions the product vision and guides the strategy and roadmap.
Supports peers as the primary point person for all product details.
Coordinates with department leader to set priorities and secures stakeholder alignment.
Oversees the implementation of new product releases.
Ensures collaborative workflow and that checks, and balances are maintained at each stage of development by following Anthem’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) approach.
Reviews, analyzes, and makes recommendations on rate actions for existing products.
Determines customer needs and preferences through research, analysis of industry technology, and frequent client interviews.
Monitors product performance and those of competitors. In collaboration with key stakeholders defines metrics to be used to monitor product performance.
Ensures products meet competitive and legislative needs.
- Requires a BA/BS degree; 4 years of relevant healthcare industry experience (product/program management, product planning/strategy); or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Direct product management experience with behavioral health and digitally-enabled capabilities is highly desirable.
Demonstrated results in three or more of the following areas required: Product Development, Program Management, or Risk Management.
Leadership experience is from managing a team within a matrix environment.

Annual Salary Range*: $86,016 - $107,520
Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
