Grant Thornton is seeking a Release Management Senior Associate to join our team. Approved office locations included below.

ICS - Enterprise Transformation – Solution Development – Release Management – Senior Associate

The Release Management Senior Associate is responsible for overseeing the overall progress of a solution deployment. This includes managing the integration and coordination of development, testing, and deployment to support continuous delivery. In this regard, a release manager is like a project manager. However, unlike the project manager, the release manager must have the technical skills and knowledge to run and maintain the entire solution delivery tool chain, as well as to measure and interpret metrics on all tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with project managers, solution development team, and stakeholders to plan and coordinate solution delivery.

  • Develop and maintain release plans, schedules, and timelines.

  • Ensure that all aspects of the release process are properly executed, including testing, deployment, and documentation.

  • Coordinate with the quality assurance team to ensure that solutions meet the organization's quality standards.

  • Develop and maintain communication plans and ensure that stakeholders are kept informed of progress.

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with solution development.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve the release process, incorporating best practices and lessons learned.

  • Ensure that solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and meet Enterprise Transformation quality standards.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+years of related work experience with at least 1 year in a release management role

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience with Agile development methodology.

  • Knowledge of software testing and deployment processes.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

  • Agile / Scrum certification preferred.

  • Experience with test automation preferred.

  • Experience in professional services / consulting preferred.

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, ServiceNow and/or Git beneficial.

  • Ability to travel on short notice and work additional hours as necessary.

  • Travel percentage: 5%

The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Denver, CO office only is between $80,700 and $134,500 per year.

The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Melville, NY, Bellevue, WA, Los Angeles, CA, San Diego, CA, and New York City(Manhattan) offices only is between $87,200 and $145,300 per year.

The base salary range for this position in the firm’s San Francisco, CA and San Jose, CA offices only is between $92,800 and $154,700 per year.
