Resource Recovery Center of Orange County is a medically supervised detox and inpatient rehabilitation center in Middletown, NY. entering year three of operation. We are seeking a seasoned and hands-on Compliance Officer to guarantee that our business processes and transactions follow all relevant legal and internal guidelines. Your duties will include reviewing employee work, developing company policies, and responding to policy violations. The ideal candidate for this role will be professional, highly-analytical, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. To prosper in this role, you should be fluent in risk management and our industry's principles. Responsibilities: Provide services in compliance with NYS OASAS regulations and Joint Commission. Review psychosocial assessments, treatment plans and any other clinical documentation as needed for regulatory requirements. Complete Utilization Reviews. Ensure timely completion of required compliance documentation is upheld. Review clinical documentation for quality care. Participates in treatment plan development. Ensure client's records are in order. Mainly responsible for all utilization reviews and quality assurance activities. Tracking of clinical documentation and case assignments. Developing and updating Policies and Procedures for Part 816, 818 OASAS programs. Incident Report Tracking and Oversight. Head of Quality Assurance Meetings. Acts as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated, and resolved. Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and puts practices in place to avoid such situations in the future. Ensures corrective actions are adequate and have been implemented for all identified compliance deficiencies. Other duties as designated by the COO. Requirements Bachelor's Degree - Master's degree preferred Qualified Health Professional - QHP Two years of experience as a qualified health professional Experience with Joint Commission and OASAS regulations. Experience with using medical records systems Utilization and review experience. Highly-analytical with strong attention to detail. Good knowledge of regulations and laws. Strong written, presentation, facilitation and communication skills. Good investigation and problem-solving skills. Experience designing and developing compliance monitoring programs. Project management experience desired. Possess a high level of integrity Proficient Computer skills Experience with Joint Commission and OASAS regulations. Experience with using medical records systems. Utilization and review experience.
