The Student Internship is a learning experience designed to foster the development of undergraduate and graduate level students who are pursuing a career related to healthcare administration or the supporting organizational business, clinical, ancillary and service departments. Duties vary depending on the type of internship and where the intern works. The scope of work for the Summer College Pharmacy Intern will include chart review, data collection, analysis, medication use evaluation, data collection and a analysis, recommendation based upon standards of care, and evidence based standards of care.
Minimum Education: A pharmacy intern, is an individual who has successfully completed the first professional year of study in an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy (ACPE) program, or a graduate from a non- accredited program that has passed NAPLEX (Part I) and been approved by the board are eligible to apply for a limited (intern) permit.

Required Certification/Registration: Education Department State of New York Pharmacy Intern permit.
