This is a tremendous opportunity for a driven person to grow and learn at a world-class resort!The Conference Services Manager will plan, coordinate, and ensure the execution of all conference group guest rooms, meetings and events as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing. Which includes relationship trust building with the client designated point of contact and serve as the liaison for overall client satisfaction & hotel profitability while following property policies & procedures as supported by a dotted line supplemental reporting with the Director of Food & Beverage.
- High school diploma or equivalent.2. Two years food and beverage experience in banquets and event set-up.3. Excellent customer centric and guest service resolution experience.4. Pleasant and helpful personality. 5. Be well organized and efficient.6. Menu Planning & wine knowledge.
Essential Job Functions:
Will work directly with client and group leader to plan and execute meeting event.
Will create and detail a Group Resume, Banquet Event Order, and floor plan diagrams according to meeting specifications which includes guest room matrix, menu planning, service details, pricing and payment.
Fill out necessary requisitions for functions (banquet staffing, stewarding equipment, tables).
Review and discuss all details of Banquet Event Orders with all necessary departments.
Coordinate and coach supervisory banquet leaders on client expectations on set up, preparation, service and tear down of banquet function and banquet staff service standards and their interactions with coworkers & guests.
Follow up on all event details with the necessary resource providers to ensure deliverables are met which includes but are not limited to F&B Managers, Executive Chef, A/V Technicians, Front Office, Guest Services, Equipment Rentals, outside service contractors etc…
Responsible for rooming list reservations, call-in group block consolidation, transportation details, meeting agendas/resumes, and PCI compliant billing authorizations.
Provide necessary event updates & post meeting information to accounting for proper billing and Director of Food & Beverage for service training standards.
Work with the Executive Chef to provide seasonal offerings and special menus when appropriate.
Manage and yield space to ensure optimal meeting success for all groups using conference space, and upsell additional Guestroom, F&B, and resort add-ons to achieve higher revenue returns from the group/event.
Attend and co-lead BEO meetings, as needed client pre-con meetings, and pre-shift Banquet staff meetings.
Maintain client files electronically in designated hotels systems with current and well-organized information with a log of needs and preferences of requesters, overnight guests, and day guests.
