The Norwich Campus of SUNY Morrisville has been serving the Norwich community and the surrounding areas for more than 46 years, offering students associate degree options such as Criminal Justice, Computer Information Technology, and Nursing. The campus is also used by businesses, not-for-profits and community partners for training, events and videoconferencing.
The Syracuse Educational Opportunity Center (EOC), administered by SUNY Morrisville, provides the urban community of Syracuse with innovative academic programs leading to higher education as well as vocational training programs leading to gainful employment and economic self-sufficiency.

Brief Description of Duties:
SUNY Morrisville seeks the next Director of the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) and Access Programs. The Director will oversee the student recruitment, administration and development of student programming, daily activities of management and budget, and supervision of the EOP professional staff. In addition, the Director, working with the Director of Campus-wide Advising, will coordinate the Morrisville Access Program (MAP) in terms of administration, development, and tracking of student programming and progression. This position is critical to helping to improve and shape College-wide retention efforts. This position reports directly to the Provost.
.Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Oversee coordination of EOP program and consultation with Campus-wide Advising to assist with MAP Program, and facilitate Retention programming with other units
Define, communicate and execute a strategic vision for the future by articulating the distinctive needs and opportunities of EOP and Morrisville Access Program
Additional duties for both programs will include maintenance of budgets, completing state and local reports, programming and assessment.
Working with administration, staff, faculty, and students to implement a required EOP summer program and MAP summer program.

An earned Master's Degree in higher education leadership or related field; (e.g. counseling, social work, human services, public administration, student affairs, etc)
A minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in higher education working in opportunity programs, TRIO programs, or student access programs;or equivalent experience working primarily with college students from low-income and historically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Experience supervising professional staff
Demonstrated proficiency in personnel and fiscal management
Successful interpersonal communications
Experience working with grant administration
Experience in creating supportive structures for non-traditional students.
Demonstrated leadership style that promotes equity and facilitates collaboration across the college.
Demonstrated leadership in the development, implementation and maintenance of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives for faculty, staff, students and programs especially in the areas of recruitment and retention
