Job Description:
SUNY Morrisville seeks part-time instructors to teach Introductory/Intermediate Microsoft Excel course offerings. This position requires day and/or evening availability teaching face-to-face or hybrid. Employment depends on employer need for summer 2023 and fall 2023.
This hands-on course introduces the concept of using spreadsheets, lists and charts. The course will cover basic data entry into worksheets, formatting the worksheets, using formulas, and creating charts. Spreadsheets provide the tools needed to manage, present and analyze numeric data for personal or business use.
Course Objectives:
Create database table within Excel
Apply formatting to data in cells
Sort and filter records for specific data use
Insert mathematical formulas needed to calculate spreadsheets within Excel 2016.
Create forms, reports, and charts
Create mail merge documents, with envelopes/mailing labels
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of three (3) years' work experience utilizing Microsoft Excel functions.
Ability to give clear and concise instructions
Ability to meet schedules and timelines
Self-starter that demonstrates strong initiative
Strong communication skills
Teaching experience preferred,
