Our next internship program runs through the summer of 2022. We're looking for students who are working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent), and due to complete their studies to be available for a full time role commencing in 2023.

The role

As a summer intern, candidates work directly with the full-time members of our team and learn a vast array of services IHS Markit offers, as well as further developing client-facing skills. Our goal is to provide team members with the most exposure, guidance and learning opportunities, while they create tangible benefits to our clients and our firm.

Typical day to day functions include:

  • Learning IHS Markit’s wide range of products and services

  • Working on presentation skills, using learned product knowledge as examples

  • Analyze existing & potential customer lists and identify best targets

  • Qualify potential customers and distribute to sales teams for follow up

  • Work with sales team to follow up on opportunities to collect pipeline and forecasting data

Interns will support the following departments:

  • Information Services

  • Aligns the synergistic elements of our data, valuations, indices, primary issuance platforms and equities businesses. Included businesses are GMG, PVR, Equities and Indices.

  • Solutions

  • Drives cross-product integration, extending our front-to-back capability in the alternatives and loans markets, delivering world-class implementation and customer service in our software businesses. Included businesses are Private Markets, WSO, Loan Platforms, DebtDomain , EDM, and thinkFolio .

What we're looking for

We seek candidates with diverse backgrounds and ideas with a desire to learn and thrive. The Summer Internship Program will provide a variety of experiences to help you identify your strengths, develop highly transferable skills, and align you to a successful career path for a bright future at IHS Markit. To be an ideal fit for the role, you should have:

  • A bachelor or master’s degree (or equivalent) completed no later than May 2023

  • 0-6 months relevant work experience

  • Demonstrated passion or interest in one or more of our key industries (

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • An aptitude to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment

  • The ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting

  • Be legally eligible to work for the duration of the program in the country for which you apply

You may be considered for multiple suitable roles throughout this process. If these roles fall within the same stream, you will be assessed during the same process. If the roles fall across multiple streams, you may be asked to complete different assessments aligned to those roles.
