About the Role

We're looking for a seasoned communications pro to join the MoneyLion team. Reporting to MoneyLion's Chief Operating Officer, this person will lead day-to-day efforts related to company communications, shaping our communications strategy and providing strategic counsel to our leadership team on a range of topics. You'll work closely with colleagues from Finance, Investor Relations, Legal, and Marketing as well as cross-functionally to help tell the MoneyLion story.

The ideal candidate will have strong relationships with tech and business media and experience supporting senior executives. They will take a coordinated communications approach -- leveraging all relevant channels for maximum impact, and believe that measurement and research are fundamental to corporate communications. Strong narrative building, writing and editing skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead our corporate communications strategy and planning around key business & product initiatives, executive communications, transactions, and other corporate issues

  • Build strategic narratives that increase awareness and appreciation for MoneyLion's business model, targeting the business press, financial press, as well as the investor and analyst community

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with reporters/editors, other business influencers, and event organizers to further MoneyLion's communications goals

  • Develop a range of communication materials including messaging, scripts, press releases, media statements, and social media copy, leveraging all available channels to communicate the MoneyLion story

  • Participate in the quarterly earnings reporting cycle and other investor communications, working closely with the Investor Relations team

  • Develop a proactive communications strategy for the company's employer brand including executive communications, speaking opportunities, industry awards, employee experience, culture, and inclusion & diversity initiatives

  • Manage day to day PR activities, in coordination with external PR/communication agencies

  • Manage reputational issues through sound communications plans and strategies

About You

  • 10+ years relevant work experience in corporate communications with significant experience in fast-paced, consumer-facing companies, ideally for in-house teams. Prior experience in financial services and public company environments preferred

  • Background partnering with cross-functional teams and agency teams to deliver results

  • Established media relationships with key financial, technology, and business journalists.

  • Outstanding and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong understanding of corporate communications in the age of social media.

  • Impact player - you must be a strong self-starter who is eager to grow and make your mark in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization.
