Obtain financial industry experience through direct Ameriprise Advisor Group (AAG) branch support and project work. During the internship you will obtain your Securities Industries Essentials (SIE) license.The Ameriprise Advisor Group (AAG) includes approximately 2,000 financial advisors and more than 800 operations partners across 160 branch offices in the U.S. AAG supports the practice of financial advisors who help clients plan to achieve their dreams and financial goals. We have dedicated leaders and operations partners focused on driving profitable growth in financial advisor practices.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities vary depending on assigned projects(s) and may include:Coordinate with leaders to create and manage project plans and deliverables for advisors and internal stakeholdersGather data to track progress versus goal on key projects and send follow up communicationsPartner with leaders to execute the branch marketing programsClient relationship management by establishing new clients with Ameriprise, including introduction to the digital experience, addressing client service requests, and assisting in preparation or follow-up to meetingsExamples of past intern projects include:Evaluate social media engagement results for the branch to create a proposal for improvementAssess new client onboarding approach across the branch to create a proposal for increased consistencyReview client acquisition, marketing and event strategy and execution across the branch and collaborate with branch leaders to improve resultsAnalyzing the advisor insights across their client base to identify opportunities within the book of businessRequired QualificationsCurrent Junior at a 4-year university pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Finance, Financial Planning, Economics, Marketing, Communications, Business Analytics, or related fieldGraduation date of December 2025 or May/June 2026Preferred QualificationsHigh degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethicsProven organization skills and ability to manage time effectivelyExcellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skillsAbility to work and communicate collaboratively and constructively with othersProficient with Microsoft Office SuiteThe company does not offer corporate undergraduate internships for students with F-1 visas.About Our CompanyAt Ameriprise Financial, we're not just in the business of helping clients with their financial goals - we also help our advisors and employees reach their true potential by embracing an inclusive and collaborative culture. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
