The internship will span 8 weeks, beginning on June 5th and ending on August 4th. You will be exposed to several business lines, will have a chance to attend company presentations and learn about the nature of our business.
We have a unique QA team where we are not just responsible for authoring, running, and automating our test cases but we are also responsible for designing, coding, and extending our custom automation testing platform . As a member of the QA team, you will be helping us to port our testing platform subsystems from Perl to Python. To perform this task, you will first learn how our existing automation testing platform works. After this learning process, you will be working with our team to take each targeted subsystem and work with us to come up with a respective new Python design that will seamlessly integrate with our existing platform. Over the years, our QA team has come to know the limitations and wanted enhancements to our existing automation testing platform. We will ensure that these inputs find their way into the new design and implementation. After we collectively complete each design cycle, you will execute the respective coding and testing to finalize the subsystem port. This same pattern will be followed by each subsequently selected subsystem. You and the QA team will have constant checkpoints and communications to share feedback and discoveries to ensure transparency and a successful and smooth path throughout the project.
