Amazon Sr. Visual Designer in New York City, New York


The Seller Marketing & Design (SMD) supports the success of third-party sellers worldwide by driving discovery and engagement for Amazon selling tools and programs. Our team owns, and the underlying design system for all worldwide seller-facing marketing. We lead the design for US webpages, and a variety of marketing campaign collateral including brand marketing campaigns, email nurture campaigns, and social media campaigns. We build repeatable frameworks that enable us to scale consistent and high-impact creative to marketers worldwide. Our goal is to provide all sellers with an intuitive and easily navigable experience of Amazon’s value, one that helps them build and optimize their business with our store and services.

SMD is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Sr. Designer who demonstrates a strong understanding of design systems and how to apply strategic design thinking across multiple marketing channels including web, email, social, event, and sales. They are an innovator, learner, and have strong attention to detail. They have experience working on brand/identity systems and are seasoned at preparing and professionally presenting their work to a variety of stakeholders. The ideal candidate highly values collaboration and is able to synthesize clear design solutions with a distinct bias for action while factoring in the implications of a global brand. You will work closely with content creators and marketing managers to understand the holistic seller journey and generate innovative and effective creative across all marketing channels.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent professional experience

  • 6+ years of experience in a marketing creative & design role

  • Online portfolio or PDF demonstrating complete design process including project goal, strategic vision, concept development, high-quality creative execution, and impact of finished work.

  • Strong proficiency in design/presentation and tools (specifically Figma and Adobe Creative [Illustrator, Photoshop])

  • Detailed, hands-on experience working within an established design system to create scalable experiences across channels while maintaining consistency and brand integrity.

  • Experience with web design and building within a CMS

  • Ability to share ideas and receive feedback from business partners and stakeholders through presentations and writing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing for large scale B2B marketing

  • Knowledge of UX and front-end web design processes and best practices

  • Experience in photo, video, and/or motion graphics design

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
