The IEEE Summer Legal Internship Program was designed to provide hands-on work experience that will give law students personal insight into the role of an in-house attorney at a not-for-profit organization.  Interns will have the opportunity to network with organizational business partners, volunteers, members, IEEE in-house counsel as well as  attorneys from other not-for-profit organizations. 
Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Assist in legal research and analysis on a wide range of issues, including not-for-profit law, tax, copyright, contracts, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
• 
  Draft, review, and edit legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
• 
  Assist in maintaining and organizing legal files and records.
• 
  Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure legal compliance across various projects and programs.
• 
  Support the legal team in providing guidance to other departments on legal matters.
• 
  Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
Currently attending an ABA accredited law school.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
Interest in not-for-profit law and philanthropy is a plus.
SALARY:  $27.50 PER HOUR
