Your role:

You can choose to be a sales person on a client team or be a sales trader / trader covering a specific product. In both, you’ll be shadowing team members as they talk to clients on the phone and use our systems to buy and sell equities, currencies, interest rates and credit as well as financing opportunites.Our client teams sell products and services to clients based on an in-depth understanding of their needs and investment styles. Our sales trading teams are the link between clients and traders, giving clients useful information about what’s happening in the markets and making sure their trades are executed the best prices. Our traders make markets to clients, internal desks, and external counterparties, while balancing an attempt to earn spreads by winning trades along with managing the various risks inherent to their specific businesses.

Your team:

You’ll be working in the Investor Client Services team, looking after professional investors like asset managers and hedgefunds. You’ll give them advice and do everything that’s needed to facilitate securities transactions for them - from start to finish. You’ll be able to draw on the strength of UBS platforms, products, services and people worldwide to give your clients what they need.

Your expertise:

Basic: Candidates must graduate from a 4-year Bachelor’s degree program or a Master’s degree program, between December 2020 and June 2021. A competitive cumulative GPA is required.

Preferred: We look for individuals who seek challenge in an intellectually stimulating environment. The majority of our hires have degrees in economics, engineering, finance, mathematics, computer science or physical sciences, but the total scope is much broader, including majors from astronomy, political science, English and history. We have found that individual qualifications, however, are more important than a specific major or concentration thus there is no prerequisite coursework.

Intern Analyst (Pipeline)

During the remaining 9 weeks of the summer, you'll rotate across 3 separate desks in our Equities and FX, Rates and Credit businesses. You'll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of our teams.
