TRANSACTION ADVISORY SERVICES -IT DUE DILIGENCE CONSULTING ASSOCIATE
Position Description

At RSM, associates work with large and small companies in various industries. They develop strong working relationships with clients built on understanding their businesses and challenges. Associates work on multiple team engagements each year, including several pieces of any particular assignment - not just one part. The Transaction Advisory Services practice offers our clients assistance with M&A activities in IT Diligence and Software Product Due Diligence across buy-side acquisitions (stand-alone or carve-out) and sell-side processes.

As an Associate on our IT Due Diligence team, you will work closely with other team members to help companies with the deal process by assessing the Information Technology (IT) related opportunities and risks relating to strategy, operations, applications, infrastructure, personnel, vendors, and spend, developing an action plan to address these finds and communicating due diligence results.

Examples of the candidate's responsibilities include:

Perform (as part of a team) operational due diligence for clients who are acquiring businesses (US and international)
Evaluate (as part of a team) the Information Technology related performance of companies and develop plans for operational improvement, growth enablement, and/or expense containment
Participate in client meetings and site visits while interacting with top-level management at target companies to obtain pertinent information for IT analysis
Interact with the other functional areas of the practice including finance, tax, audit, and other consulting practices
Represents the firm in community activities and professional association

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university by the time employment commences
MIS, Computer Science, Operations, or similar major
Travel is required. Must have access to and ability to arrange for use of reliable modes of transportation to those locations
Ability to travel 20-30% locally and nationally
A minimum 3.5 GPA is preferred

Strong computer skills, including MS Office (primarily PowerPoint and Excel)
Ability to multitask
