FTI Consulting 2022 Summer/Fall Consultant - Corporate Finance - Capital Advisory in New York, New York

About the Role

In FTI Consulting's Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment we focus on our clients' strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders.

FTI Capital Advisors is a special situations and middle market investment bank teamed with the power of FTI Consulting's worldwide network of professionals.

What You'll Do

Conduct industry research
Perform financial modelling and valuation analysis
Prepare presentation materials, including deal Teasers and CIMs
Research potentials buyers/targets/investors
Provide recommendations on potential transactions
Manage investor due diligence
Support SMD/MDs in transaction negotiations
Develop and train junior analysts on investment banking analytical and transaction process skills.

How You'll Grow

The Senior Consultant/Director Intern, a key component of the growth of FTI Capital Advisors, the middle market investment banking subsidiary of FTI Consulting, which is focused on providing M&A advice and executing private placements of equity and debt in both distressed and heathy situation, to FTI's key focus industries, is responsible for supporting the entire lifecycle of a transaction, from initial evaluation to diligence, negotiations through closing.

The breadth and depth of the worldwide resources within FTI Consulting enables FTICA to combine its extensive C-suite relationships and deep industry expertise with investment banking and transaction execution experience when such relationships, knowledge and skills are critical to a transaction's outcome.

Basic Qualifications / Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, or Business
Minimum 3years of experience in Investment Banking
Requires Investment Banking Licenses: Series 79 & 63
Prior experience in M&A and / or Leveraged Finance is a plus
Pursuing an MBA with Spring 2023 Graduation date
Travel required to clients and to FTI office(s)
