2024 Guardian Life Summer Intern, Real Estate Investments
Our 2024 Internship Program is a paid 10-week learning experience where you will be immersed in the daily environment of a thriving global financial services company. You will gain invaluable industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments, in addition to engaging in projects that directly affect our business, interact with senior leaders in conversational settings, and network with employees and interns across our offices. This 10-week internship provides you with realistic experiences and information of what it is like to work at Guardian.
Internship Dates:
The internship program will run from Monday, June 3, 2024- Friday, August 9, 2024 .

You are:
A rising senior (graduation date of December 2024- June 2025) who is fueled by collaboration, able to listen and make quick decisions and thrive in a goal-oriented environment.

You have:
A curiosity about commercial real estate and capital markets (Real Estate major strongly preferred)
Strong organizational and multitasking skills and are very detailed oriented
Advanced Excel capabilities and knowledge of Argus Discounted Cash Flow modeling is preferred
Good communication and presentation skills
You will:
Assist in all facets of commercial loan origination, underwriting, and closings in support of Guardian Commercial Mortgage Team
Primarily focus on loan underwriting, lease and third-party due diligence review, development of loan submission packages, and be included in the closing process
Be informed on current capital market trends and macroeconomics
Have the opportunity to work and learn from encouraging leaders, mentors and team members across the organization who will help mentor you as you develop your professional career
Learn about Guardian’s purpose, values, how we work and our suite of product and service offerings
Build a network of colleagues and have a sense of community with other interns and other parts of the business
Think broadly and ask questions about data, facts and other information

Eligibility:
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. Salary Range:
$20-$40 per hour

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
