JPMorgan Chase's Global Technology Applied Research team conducts research in cutting-edge emerging technologies, such as Quantum Computing and Communication, Cloud Computing and Networking, Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR), Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing (Ubicomp), Internet of Things (IoT), Security and Privacy, Computer Vision, and Edge Computing. Our firm is seeking a passionate researcher and thought leader to perform applied research and development of novel solutions in these fields.
You will work as a software engineer in the research technical team for augmented/virtual reality. JP Morgan Chase's technology strategy and direction are strongly oriented towards investigation and research of emerging technologies, such as AR/VR, Computer Graphics, Quantum Computing, Human Machine Interfaces, Computer Vision, and IoT. Our firm is seeking a passionate technologist and researcher to perform applied research and development of novel solutions in these fields. As a key member of the research technical team, you will work closely with internal project teams and external communities alike to advance these research focus areas in a way that is beneficial to the technical teams in the company. You will cultivate investigations into these areas, produce research solutions in collaboration with the internal project teams, and contribute to the firm's intellectual property.
The Purpose of Your Role:
To provide novel research solutions to problems faced by internal project teams.
To advance the field of Computer Graphics in the areas of cloud, data, and runtime management for financial applications
To augment existing platforms and frameworks with novel research components.
To participate in technical partnerships with external organizations, such as academic institutions, government agencies, and leading technology firms
To contribute to JPMC's IP by pursuing necessary protections of generated IP
Contribute to establishing JPMC's reputation in the scientific field via publication of select results in prestigious venues.
The Expertise We Are Looking for:
A strong understanding of at least one language Python, C#, Typescript, Swift, C++, etc... that you are continually expanding upon
Interest in and prior experience with data modeling and creating a software framework for managing data with graphical user interfaces.
Interest in creating multi-user software for collaboration and application state management.
Create high-quality code with attention to detail, readability, and performance in mind.
Experience building software holistically: From planning and proposal to implementation, testing, optimization, and deployment.
