Job Title: A/C Engineering Foreman

Dept: Engineering Facilities Management

Job Summary:

Supervises personnel involved in the maintenance and operation of the central A/C system, auxiliary equipment, emergency diesel generators, pneumatic controls elevators; responsible for supplying heat, power, ventilation, gas water and maintaining water treatment program

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Supervises personnel involved in the maintenance and operation of the central A/C system, auxiliary equipment, emergency diesel generators, pneumatic controls elevators; responsible for supplying heat, power, ventilation, gas water and maintaining water treatment program

• Supervises Engineers

• During the cooling season, operates and inspects daily two (2) York 5120 ton centrigual air conditioning units and auxiliary equipment

• Provides and schedules corrective action when necessary

• Supervises preventive maintenance program of the physical plant facilities and schedules inspections while maintaining all preventive maintenance records and logs

• Schedules and inspects steam distribution stations, pumps and auxiliary equipment; Records findings; schedules and provides corrective action when necessary

• Schedules, operates, repairs and maintains emergency diesel generators, 300KW and 575KW. Is familiar with pneumatic controls

• Schedules and maintains a proper water treatment program for open and closed systems

• Performs related duties as required.

E ducation Requirement:

High School Diploma or GED

License Requirement:

Certificate of Qualification (CoQ) for Refrigerating System Operating Engineer

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $51.76 - $51.76 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
