Position Overview: A& M is seeking a Resource Manager to join our Corporate Performance Improvement (CPI) / Public Sector (PS) practice for our Advancing & Cultivating Emerging Leaders (ACE) community. The objective of ACE is to recruit, develop, and retain our emerging leaders through a wide variety of project experience, formal (classroom/virtual) and informal (on-the-job) training. ACE professionals join CPI as generalists, unlocking opportunities across our industries and solution offerings. Throughout their time in the academy, our ACE professionals will identify the industry or solution that best fits their skills and career aspirations and ultimately align with an industry or solution full time. ACE covers entry level talent across the continental United States - with presence in 10 major cities - New York, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle. As Resource Manager, you will strategically optimize the deployment of our ACE workforce. The Resource Manager will partner with firm leadership to properly staff commercial projects that satisfy our client's needs, allocate resources to projects based on appropriate skillset/experience needed, and professionally develop our workforce. Additionally, the individual will support assigning non-billable activities for ACE resources that includes business development opportunities, internal initiatives, and practice development efforts. Responsibilities: - Review project scope and assist with determining and allocating appropriate ACE resources for immediate and near-term project staffing needs- Assist with fulfilling and identifying non-billable practice requests for non-staffed ACE resources including business development and internal practice development efforts- Understand and retain knowledge of ACE community skillset, professional goals, staffing preferences, and working styles- Serve as a mentor and provide career guidance- Partner with CPI/PS Onboarding Team to coordinate and communicate Performance Manager and New Hire Buddy Assignments- Assist with ACE reporting to proactively identify trends/forecasts on ACE member Industry/Solution preferences, Resource Rotational Program (R2P), utilization hours variance, and general Staffing reports- Maintain an understanding of the CPI/PS business capabilities, service offerings, and commercial projects- Collaborate and communicate effectively with CPI/PS Staffing Leads and ACE Operations Leadership- Assist with planning and execution of the Summer Analyst (SA) Program including identifying, sourcing, and monitoring project assignments- Partner with CPI/PS Strategy & Growth Leads (SGLs) to proactively understand active/target pursuits Qualifications: Required - BA or BS undergraduate degree- Strong written and oral communication skills- Strong interpersonal skills- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including: Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word, Outlook- Strong business acumen- Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve complex and sensitive situations- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting; both in office and virtually- Demonstrated ability to professionally manage confidential information- Demonstrates personal leadership and accountability- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholder interests in a fast paced setting- Ability to navigate through ambiguity- Willingness to travel as needed Preferred: - Resource management / staffing experience in professional services industry- Early career talent development experience in a professional services industry The annual base salary range is $80, 000-$110, 000, commensurate with experience.
