JOB SUMMARY:

The Allocation Analyst is responsible for ensuring effective inventory allocation that supports store plans and

current trends. The Analyst uses store attributes and metrics to review allocations and manage exceptions.

The Analyst ensures product forecasts are sufficiently supporting zone and store opportunities in season to

maximize top line sales. The Analyst plays a key role within the cross-functional business team of

Merchandising, Chain and Store Planning. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience analyzing

data, drawing conclusions and informing forecasting levers to continually improve allocation effectiveness.

This candidate will exhibit strong communication skills with the ability to influence strategies and course

correct as necessary. This candidate will be self-motivated to plan and prioritize multiple tasks and have strong

attention to detail. The Allocation Analyst will play a critical role in building a positive work culture, driving

employee involvement, and supporting change management efforts within the retail organization.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with cross-functional team to ensure assortment and zonal flow strategies are implemented with

store allocations

Ensure allocations reconcile to store inventory plans that are positioned to maximize revenue and

minimize stockouts

Review daily allocations and manage exceptions

Maintain accurate, robust demand forecasting SKU groups

Review allocation accuracy and inform adjustments to forecasting levers

Ensure store inventory levels are optimized based on divisional performance, store seasonality and

capacity

Ensure new stores, remodels and relocations are allocated in accordance with plans

Develop working relationships with the distribution centers to ensure continuous flow of products to

stores

Align strategies with Merchant, Chain Planner, and Store Planner to drive revenue and margin

Performs other duties as may be assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data interpretation, and an understanding of retail metrics

Proficiency in planning, allocation, or inventory management software

Exceptional communication, leadership, and people skills

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Knowledge of retail industry trends and best practices

A passion for retail and a customer-centric mindset

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree in business, Retail Management, or a related field

Proven experience in retail store planning, inventory management, or allocation, with a history of

effective collaboration

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee must

frequently use their hands to handle or feel objects and must be able to speak and hear clearly.

The employee may occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities

required for this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.

The employee must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
