The opportunity

In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing strategic messaging on the EY intranet and daily news email – EY’s core internal communications channels – for a diverse audience of nearly 100,000 professional services employees in the US, Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean and Israel.

This is an exciting role, where you’ll help bring every aspect of the business to life – from risk management and client service to talent and technology. You’ll do this by planning and scheduling news and by bringing out the best from others’ work, ensuring it’s clear, consistent and well presented.

Your key responsibilities

You’ll schedule, edit and publish news each day. You’ll also act as a trusted advisor on news and internal communications in general, working closely with leaders and their teams across the entire scope of the Americas business.

In this role, you’ll report into the Global Communications and Engagement (CE) Strategy and Planning team. You’ll have an opportunity to contribute to EY’s internal content strategy, shaping a compelling new approach to content for more than 300,000 people worldwide.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Excellent English editing and writing skills

  • Proven expertise in digital publishing, including sourcing images, working with video, etc.

  • Strong cross-cultural awareness

  • Ability to quickly digest complex information and connect it with the bigger picture

  • Understanding of internal communications in large organizations, including objective setting, audience segmentation, channels and measurement

  • Ability to build strong relationships and tactfully challenge stakeholders of all levels, including senior leaders

  • Collaborative, outcome-focused approach

  • Creative, innovative and inspiring thinker

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Strong business acumen

  • Experience with content management systems

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

  • Familiarity with social media tools

  • Basic HTML skills

  • Basic data visualization skills

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Familiarity with SharePoint

  • Experience with data analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics

  • Image editing/Photoshop skills

  • Experience of video production
