Paramount Analyst in New York, New York

The Analyst will report to the Vice President of BET Ad Sales Research. The ideal candidate is a team player that will be responsible for analyzing television, digital, social and syndicated data in order to effectively position BET in the advertising marketplace.


  • Work on projects assigned by research VP, Directors and Managers

  • Collect, analyze and interpret Nielsen data and other TV, digital and social consumer tracking sources for clients and recurring ad hoc requests

  • Position research data in a creative and concise manner

  • Create custom PowerPoint presentations and one-sheets using a variety of resources

  • Handle regular weekly and quarterly channel performance reports and competitive analyses

  • Attend weekly meetings


  • Bachelor's degree

  • Attention to detail, organized and motivated to learn

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint (any macro experience is a plus)

  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills

  • Interest in television and media

  • Works well within a group and individually


  • 1 year of national Ad Sales Research experience (internships acceptable)

  • Any knowledge of Nielsen systems and media math/media terms a plus

  • Media research experience
