Adviser Compliance Associates LLC Application Support Engineer in New York, New York

The Opportunity:

The Application Support Engineer is responsible for performing day-to-day technology support team duties with respect to a variety of ACA platforms, including determining issues, troubleshooting, and providing advice for corrective actions.

What you'll do:

Re-create, analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose incidents

Determine root cause of incidents (configuration, defect, misuse)

Liaise with other developers and product owners on corrective actions or viable workarounds to resolve incidents

Respond to direct and indirect inquiries based on client service level agreements

Perform routine audits of systems for the purpose of preventative maintenance of applications and report on status of systems

Perform call management, including logging, monitoring, updating, prioritizing and resolving calls, emails and indirect inquiries in a timely fashion

Perform ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary to support ACA on various client and internal initiatives

Skills and attributes for success:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

3+ years of professional experience in a similar role

Understanding, reading code, strong troubleshooting skills, answering tickets, with on-call rotation every 4-5 weeks

Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills are a must

Experience reading/writing queries, store procedures, and ETLs in SQL Server

Experience with the Tools: Visual Studio, Visual Code, SSMS, Postman, and WinSCP

Able to read and understand: JavaScript and Angular 2.x, and C\#.Core

Understanding of n-Tier application architecture concepts

Familiarity with Git/Bitbucket and Atlassian tools a plus

Familiarity with AWS services like: S3, CloudWatch, and Amazon Glacier is a plus

Ability to work well in a fast-paced, small-team environment

Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize effectively

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients

Dependable, flexible, and adaptable to new ACA initiatives and changing client needs

Ability to support the application during off-hours including occasional weekends

Adaptable to new initiatives and ever-changing client needs.

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and able to collaborate with multiple colleagues/groups to deliver on hiring needs.
