About the role

Intermix is looking for an Assistant Buyer to support INTERMIX’s merchandising strategy, open to buy process, business analysis, purchasing, allocation, flow of goods, team relationships and communication. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to self-motivate & drive initiative, while having a deep understanding of our brand and customer.

• Provide operational and administrative support to the Buyer in the development of the department OMNI merchandise strategy and product selection.

• Ensure timely delivery of merchandise through consistent communication with vendors, distribution center, stores, marketing and other cross-functional partners.

• Assist with writing and owning orders, preparing information and visuals for order reviews, ensuring orders are entered in a timely manner and maintaining purchase orders.

• Assist in the completion of business recaps for both pre-season and in-season with direction from the Buyer and Buying Director

• Partner with vendors to manage pricing, deliveries, and on order

• Participate in markdown and store allocation strategies using knowledge from competitors and customers by market

• Understand the INTERMIX customer by channel (stores and ecommerce) and region; suggesting new ideas for vendors each season
