PVH Corp. Assistant Designer, Calvin Klein Underwear Men's in New York, New York
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Designer will support Calvin Klein Underwear Design team from initial concept through product delivery. They will support design team members in creation of CADs, decks, artwork development and tech-packs. They will work alongside key cross-functional partners throughout the design development process.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
CAD work for style development and artwork development
Tech-pack creation and tech-pack maintenance throughout all stages of design development process
Support in the development of presentation decks, merchandising decks
Support design team in strategy/concept and line adoption stages
Assist in all presentation preparations and during presentations
Assist in off-calendar projects, Agility/Speed projects
Work cross channels with Global Supply Chain partners for follow up on the development of product
Collaborate with Men’s and Women’s Merchandising team
Follow up on deliverables and deadlines with all cross-functional partners throughout the season
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience:
Assistant/freelance/internship experience preferred
Knowledge of intimate apparel design and construction preferred
Education: BA/BFA
Skills:
Exceptional talent with commercial eye and detail in product styling
Highly motivated, passionate, and results-oriented
Strong communicator and Team player
Ability to multi-task, drive for problem solving, and react with speed and agility
Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint
Strong knowledge of PLM and building of Bill of Materials
Strong CAD skills in creating foundations CADs/Blocks, detailed styling updates, and CAD recolors
