This position supports PD&D Senior Merchandiser with product development daily tasks including but not limited to:
? Create and update flat sketches and tech packs and CADs for men's activewear, casual knits and thermal baselayer.
? Create seasonal trend boards
? Shop the market domestically along with PD&D Senior Merchandiser and help to generate competitive reports.
? Request and follow up samples always keeping track of deadlines.
? Update fabric and lab dip requests.
The ideal candidate will possess :
? BFA in Art or Fashion Design or related field
? 3-5 years of experience in the fashion industry
? Understanding of garment construction and fabrications
? Understanding of mass-market and aspirational brands (Domestic/ International)
? Computer Savvy (Mac-based Adobe + Office 360 programs)
? Strong Flat Sketching Skills
? Experience in market research and a strong portfolio of seasonal trend boards
? Design, Color, and Aesthetics sensibility
? Experience designing prints and all-over patterns
? PLM Systems and 3D Software exp is a plus
? Self-starter and detail-oriented
? Well organized
? Excellent attention to details and organizational skills
? Strong written and verbal communication skills
? Team player with strong interpersonal skills
? A background in or an interest in pursuing men's apparel is plus
? Bilingual (English/Spanish) would be considered a plus but not mandatory.
