POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a member of the Global Commercial team, the role provides support needed to drive MAC’s global retail footprint. The role will help evolve MAC’s global retail approach, as informed by brand’s channel strategy and merchandising & assortment planning across key mAssarkets. This role will support the day-to-day operations of the merchandising process and collaborate with key partners to translate global guidance into executable actions. Additionally, the role will support Global Commercial through analysis of relevant data and will provide relevant insights and recommendations on the brand’s assortment strategy.

In collaboration across Global Commercial, Marketing, SD & VM and Education, the role will provide input and facilitate seamless integration and consistency in consumer experience across retail and digital activation. The role will also manage global KPI’s to monitor success and progress for select initiatives, collect and facilitate learning across regions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support execution of assortment strategy by channel

•Monitor, analyze and provide insights and recommendations on updates to the assortment by channel strategy, utilizing retail sales, gross shipments and market data.

•Retail data insights to action by channel, category, region and key corridor

•Manage assortments by channel and region ensuring timelines are met

•Analysis of key initiatives / merchandising distortions/changes as needed

Global retail marketing execution

•Manage day to day operations of the merchandising process for upcoming programs, including capturing channel specific needs into briefs.

•Support commercial and merchandising team in business review for seasonal line edit process

•Drive reduction in excess through analysis and review with regions on cause and then execution of excess depletion through different sales tactics.

•Analysis of impact of new products (i.e. new launches, samples, mini’s, kits and bundles)

to basic and heroes

•Analysis and recommendations of changes to merchandising (I,e, planogram positioning, graphics and benefit communication) and impact to the business.

•Ad hoc reporting and presentation support on strategic projects

Global Retail Insights

•Support commercial and merchandising team by leading the Retail R&O process. Collect data and insights from regions and present findings to global Commercial and cross functional teams

•Lead analysis for Key Moments across channels, collaborating cross functionally to collect, and synthesize data as well as present analyses and recommendations to the wider Global team

EXPERIENCE:

•2-3 years merchandising and retail experience a must

•Solid experience in data analysis and reporting

•Experience in retail as part of a merchandising/buying team strongly preferred

•Experience/interest in consumer goods preferred

•Creative & resourceful, can operate with limited resources and find solutions to deliver business needs

•Intellectual flexibility, manage several projects at a time

•Excellent communication and analytical skills.

•Positive attitude and self-motivated

•Proficient in Windows, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams

EDUCATION:

•Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or related field
