The Assistant Merchandiser for Calvin Klein Non-Apparel is responsible for assisting in product strategy and brand growth. They are responsible for helping the team with the development of the assortment, formulating merchandise strategies, and facilitating department deliverables that support in meeting these objectives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Responsible for cross functional communication to ensure brand alignment.
Ensures proper follow-up and sense of urgency on projects.
Builds strong partnerships with the cross-functional teams.
Responsible for assisting through the product lifecycle process in collaboration with merchandising and design.
Supports the establishment of the product vision and global merchandising line plan for product for global markets.
Partners with regional merchandisers in the development of global line plans.
Maintain and track changes to merchandise assortments; ensuring up-to-date data accuracy and communicate changes to all cross-functional team members (design, PD, costing, channels).
Adherence to product category, calendar milestones, line development and status.
Collaborates on KPI results and seasonal projections and booking recaps.
Review selling reports to identify best/worst sellers.
Identifies market opportunities and current business trends by partnering with regional teams to understand needs of regional businesses.
Conduct research on competitors including pricing, styles, and big ideas.
Supports presentation development & key milestones deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience: At least 1-2 years of Merchandising experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in merchandising or related field
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
High level of analytical skills and conceptual creative ability
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Miro, and Seventh Online a PLUS
