PVH Corp. Assistant Product Manager, Handbags - Tommy Hilfiger in New York, New York

The Assistant Product Manager, Handbags is responsible to support the Product Life cycle of Handbag team from Development through Production. This role is all encompassing and requires individual to be flexible, proactive and timely as they manage order processing, sample tracking, and daily communications with internal teams as well as overseas office and factories direct.


  • Data input – production order entries into ACS & DTS, style development updates in ISIS/PLM, Pre-order set up for market

  • Responsible to order and track proto samples, SRS , Production samples and Ad samples

  • Update and analyze cost breakdowns, update cost sheets and cost log in DTS and input style consumption each season

  • Responsible to monitor weekly WIP tracking reports and resolve / elevate delivery delays to team

  • Attend Post Mkt Production meetings to communicate detailed design changes to factories, following up on implementation on bulk production samples

  • Responsible to make decision for bulk materials and bulk samples with manager approval and will work with manager on how to communicate and manage bulk issues

  • Sample organization and maintenance

  • Checking in of daily shipments from overseas and sending outgoing packages overseas


  • College degree, or prior work experience, preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in production with overseas factory responsibility, wholesale or retail experience in handbags or accessories, a plus

  • Strong follow-through skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines

  • Detail oriented/innovative traits are necessary

  • Must be flexible to adapt to changing trends of business and/or ad hoc projects

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • PC Skills- MS Office (Excel) and MS Outlook

  • Systems knowledge preferred- ACS, DTS, ISIS, PLM
