Associate Designer - Graphics
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Work in tandem with the Senior Graphic Designer and design team to help execute seasonal collections and collaborations. Create original graphics, designs, and logos that will be used on women’s apparel, primarily women’s knit tops and sweatshirts.
Manipulate and recolor existing prints, sketches, illustrations, photographs, graphics, and patterns.
Research trends and designs in the marketplace for inspiration. Including (but not limited to) colors, styles, art, & patterns.
Work with production team to ensure designs are executing correctly.
Provide all relevant information to the design team and manufacturer during the development and manufacturing process, as needed. This includes artwork, pantone callouts, execution information, artwork sizes, and tech-packs.
Build and update B.O.M.s in PLM software and update throughout seasonal development.
Ability to work under multiple overlapping deadlines with attentiveness to the design calendar.
Must be an independent self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Agile work-ethic in fast paced environment.
Strong verbal communication and email skills.
Ability to be creative while balancing business needs with trending aesthetics/design.
Expert technical ability/experience in Mac software including:
Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, & Adobe Acrobat
Microsoft: Word, Excel Creative Skills:
2-3 years’ experience in graphic design. Understanding of the fashion retail industry, preferred.
Knowledgeable about typography and good eye for fonts/laying out type.
Ability create artwork digitally and in a variety of mediums (painting, drawing, embroidery, embellishment, etc.).
