Revlon Associate Manager, eCommerce Strategy & Planning in New York, New York


The Associate Manager, eCommerce Strategy & Planning will deliver profit and revenue for the Revlon D2C portfolio of brand websites. The manager must have a proven track record in running successful e-commerce businesses that maintained significant YOY growth by driving consumer acquisition and retention strategies. This position sits within sales working collaboratively with Brand Marketing, the Digital Center of Excellence, Creative, Media, Customer Marketing, Planning, Development, IT and Finance.

The Associate Manager, eCommerce Strategy & Planning will combine an understanding of what drives e-commerce sales and a passion for user experience to improve the onsite shopping experience. As an expert on customer behavior, this role will advocate for the needs of our customers and serve as the go-to person for insight on site traffic and merchandising performance. Projects must be delivered on-time, on-budget and with quality efficiency.

The Associate Manager, eCommerce Strategy & Planning will oversee at least one direct report and will report to the D2C Sr E-Commerce Director.


  • Support the development of a robust demand forecast, that is agreed to by Sales and Marketing

  • Managing and taking ownership of department-wide online eCommerce strategy and P&L entities to enhance online shopper experience

  • Development of the initial product launch, pipeline shipments, projected allocations, and expected cannibalization by closely working with Sales, Operations and Marketing teams

  • Minimize new product forecast variances by pro-actively reviewing launch results at the SKU-customer level

  • Plays a key role in the Sales and Operations Planning process and ensures the timely communication of ongoing forecast changes to appropriate stakeholders

  • Collects all replenishment forecasts from the international markets, reviews for significant changes from previous month

  • Submits new product and replenishment forecast requirement templates within specified timelines

  • Serves as a key resource in assisting the business with shipping & metric reporting for identification and understanding of shipping trends

  • Create budget sales and margin plans by sales categories which align with corporate growth strategies

  • Analyze, assemble and maintain time phased shipping forecast for current product assortment based on historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions and point of sale data

  • Proactively analyze all aspects of the D2C E-Commerce business including margin, sales, promotions, and inventory


  • Report on monthly performance of sales, margin, inventory against prior year, plan and forecast

  • Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities in order to achieve sales

  • Create merchandise assortments for new market offerings based on historical selling and current product type trends

  • Interact with Customer Service group when assigning/maintaining order reserve levels for newness, off price and markdown product

  • Work alongside sales, marketing, and D2C E-Commerce teams to ensure that inventory is always at the right place and right time

  • Collaborate with materials planning team to ensure that are no inventory shortages or liabilities

  • Act as liaison between Marketing, Product Development, R&D, PDM, Packaging and Creative in all areas relating to the product-to-market timeline for new product launches

  • Partner with marketing and product development teams to assist in new product launches, product reformulations, and any promotional activities that will impact inventory

  • Manage the SKU lifecycle process including new launches, product reformulations, packaging changes and product discontinuations

  • Responsible for inventory reconciliation for goods received at the warehouse and troubleshoot any issues and discrepancies

  • Manage relationship with the distribution center to ensure that high service levels are achieved

  • Support consensus meetings by working with the Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, Supply Planning and Finance teams to ensure forecast alignment between the marketing, sales and financial plans

The Associate Manager, eCommerce Strategy & Planning reports to the D2C Sr E-Commerce Director.

What is a day in the life like?

  • Lead daily/weekly/monthly quarterly internal and external reviews

  • Help guide future campaigns, expansions, A/B test, analysis that guide future investments

  • Validate marketing placements user experience and QA’s live sites for technical & operational flow

  • Follow daily metrics- and adjust campaigns (with vendors or internal team) for maximum ROAS

Preferred & Required Skills:

  • 5-7 years of related experience, prior beauty category background is a plus, but not a pre-requisite

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, experience working with consumer brands

  • Experience working with internal and external partners across multiple disciplines

  • Technical knowledge of websites and digital marketing/advertising methods

  • Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills

  • Advanced excel skills: demonstrated ability to quickly manipulate large raw data sets to produce reporting that is intuitive and easy to read/understand, advanced formulas and pivot tables

  • Positive and energetic attitude with an accessible leadership style

  • Direct budget, accounting and P&L responsibility

  • Tenured reasoning, presentation, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal, cross functional and vendor relationship management expertise

  • Background in managing creative production and website and OMS front/backend development oversight

  • Strategic merchandise/product planning and direct response marketing experience

  • Experienced project management and execution with highest degree of quality output

  • Highly resourceful, flexible and creative in solving problems and strong sense of urgency to prioritize tasks and delivery on time

  • Handle ambiguous or subjective situations professionally, including balancing operational efficiency, data analysis and various cross-functional teams’ input
