PVH Corp. Associate Manager, Raw Materials (Underwear Group) - CALVIN KLEIN in New York, New York

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Associate Manager, Raw Material is responsible for the research and development of all fabric for The Underwear Group. He or she will also be responsible for developing fabric, yarns, and finishes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Assist with researching the raw material market for new fabric (knit, woven), trims (elastics, bra pads, functional), yarns and finishes for The Underwear Group.

  • Work closely with design and raw material team on seasonal trend/material direction and create seasonal inspiration boards.

  • Ensure raw materials are aligned to PVH global sustainability targets.

  • Oversee raw materials from initial design request to bulk approval, and beyond.

  • Provide technical expertise on raw materials, focused on quality, aesthetics & cost efficiency.

  • Work closely with cross functional partners on seasonal calendar deliverables, such as quality/color risk assessments, SMS/proto raw material requests etc.

  • Ensure Centric PLM systems is accurate and updates with all necessary information, including seasonal raw material Libraries.

  • Implement and review raw material testing, plus assist/manage quality issues and escalation

  • Communicate directly with Mills and Overseas offices, regarding all raw material requests, sourcing and seasonal development details.

  • Lead raw material discussions in cross functional meetings, communicating all raw material details, updates etc. to all departments (sourcing, merchandising, design and overseas agents/mill).

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:

  • Must have Textile background experience

  • Must have Trim knowledge, preferably Elastics and Bra Pads

  • RM technical experience is a huge plus

  • 2-4 years of overall experience recommended

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field required

Skills:

  • Ability to multi-task and take initiative in busy environment

  • Excellent prioritization and organization skills

  • Detail-oriented

Internal: Sourcing, Design, Merchandising, & Technical Services teams

External: Mills, Factories, Vendors

DECISION MAKING: Must be able to assist in making timely decisions with the help of the Sr Raw Material Manager

RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY: Must have the ability to assist with finding solutions and building strong relationships with cross-functional partners as well as third party vendors

ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to thrive in busy, deadline-driven environment
