GENERAL FUNCTION

The COT Trade Marketing Administrator reports into the COT Trade Marketing Manager. He/she is responsible for crafting and executing the trade marketing plan of their COT by leveraging the Group's Brands and the category segments (optical and sun). He/she is responsible to collaborate on creation on brand and customer strategies. He/she will ensure seamless execution in order to achieve defined business objectives established with Brand Management and Sales teams, in compliance with Luxottica’s goals, guidelines and objectives. The COT Trade Marketing Administrator is responsible for the relationship with his/her clients and Key Account Managers while developing and executing all programs designed to increase brand visibility/image at the point-of-sale – brick and mortar and on-line - and ultimately product sell-in and sell-through.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works in conjunction with Sales Team/Brand Management to develop and create a trade marketing plan designed to drive business in his/her COT, including visual merchandising tools, sales contests, holiday promotions, seasonal events, etc.

  • Develops and ensures availability of trade marketing tools, displays, POP, and services for the category in his/her assigned COT in an appropriate and timely manner

  • Responsible to seamlessly execute all programs by working directly with vendors and partnering with brand trade marketing managers.

  • Owns communication with sales and ISS team on daily basis to ensure project timelines and goals are successfully met

  • Ensures proper usage and deployment of said trade marketing materials and services for the clients and field sales team

  • Is responsible for developing the trade marketing budget and for Budget tracking of all Trade Marketing spend of his/her COT

  • Supports Senior Trade Marketing Manager in the development of various marketing materials for the field sales force (i.e. training manuals, sales brochures, etc.)

  • Tracks and recaps internal activity, competitive activity, category issues, retail environment and provides feedback to internal resources.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 3+ years of marketing experience

  • High level of understanding in field/trade marketing activities.

  • Knowledge of marketing principles and practices.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).

  • High level of computer literacy: Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities as required

  • Strong understanding of budgeting, cost estimating and fiscal management principles and procedures.

  • Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Motivated self-starter, process-oriented with a high attention to detail and sense of urgency

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to accommodate demanding project schedules.

  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships and communications with business contacts, salesforce and customers.

  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (10-20%)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree concentration in Marketing or Business preferred

  • At least one year of trade/field marketing experience preferred.
