As one of the four key leaders for the Office of Global Programs, this position works closely with senior NYU leadership, schools, departments, and key faculty in Abu Dhabi, New York, and Shanghai to offer high-quality academic and student service programs at the study away sites. This position is a special liaison between the Office of Global Programs and NYU Abu Dhabi, and NYU Shanghai to facilitate circulation and integration of students and programs globally. Reporting directly to this position are the Assistant Vice President for Global Academic Planning, and Senior Director for Student Services and Support, and their respective teams and, indirectly, the academic and student service teams at each global site.

A key focus of the position is to ensure the effective delivery of excellence in our academic programs, experiential learning opportunities, and the student experience, consistent with NYU's leadership in international higher education. Serves as a key senior administrator reporting to the Vice President for Global Programs and is expected to imagine and develop new opportunities for effectively utilizing NYU’s global assets, given higher education’s changing, post-pandemic landscape. The incumbent will lead teams in academic planning and student services to develop and implement strategies to support university goals, partnering with schools/departments and Student Affairs. This position must lead us in extensive and continual rethinking and integrating curricular planning and circulation of students in the global network through Fall, J-term, Spring, and Summer terms. The position will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of global site academic planning, with relevant support services in partnership with student affairs and academic services, to help students integrate study away opportunities into their academic plan.

This position will provide oversight of senior global student life teams and will help build and improve key student life infrastructure at the global sites; will work with New York colleagues in Student Affairs, including Housing, to ensure enrollment planning and housing planning are aligned, and other logistical support is in place; and, serve as a key liaison between the Office of Global Programs and the Global Liaisons at each of the schools on student services needs and issues.


**Required Education:**
Bachelor’s degree in higher education, international education, or related field

**Required Experience:**
10-15 years progressively responsible professional experience in higher education administration in a leadership role or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:**
Excellent communication, interpersonal, networking, leadership, project management, organization, and multitasking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required, along with strong analytical skills. The successful candidate will work in a team environment and collaborate with others on deadline-driven assignments. She/he will also be technologically adept in the academic domain and knowledgeable about academic and study-away trends and policy.
