**Job Description:**

Dow Jones is hiring an Audience Development Manager to help us grow our podcast audience. You will use data to highlight trends and make well-informed, data-driven recommendations for investment opportunities, content creation, and distribution projects to grow the business forward.

You will work with producers to maintain an overall planning calendar, help coordinate support for new episodes and season launches, and attract new listeners to our existing podcasts from the Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, Barron's, and IBD. In partnership with the marketing team, you will experiment with new tactics, implement and improve strategies, and help us apply best practices across our network. You will aggregate and report back on tactics based on the main KPI's as determined in partnership with our VP of Audience Development.

You will work with show producers, podcast leadership, and other staffers from across the company. A typical day might include meeting with the team behind a new podcast that is launching, reviewing promotional copy and providing feedback for the next episode of The Journal or What's News with an eye towards engagement, keeping our contacts at distribution platforms updated about our priorities and editorial calendar for the next quarter, and presenting weekly reports to a range of partners to identify marketing, promotional and content tactics that are driving new audiences and keeping the existing audience engaged.

**Responsibilities:**

- Act as an important member of the team to achieve overall audience and revenue goals.
- Conduct strategic market analysis to understand market trends and make recommendations to New Business Ventures Executive Leadership determining projects to pursue
- Working with the marketing team, leverage owned, earned, and paid opportunities to grow the audience to our sites and products.
- Review vendor SEM and SEO recommendations to determine quality and agreement on business goals.
- Lead meetings with SEO and SEM vendors, implementing strategy, copy, and analysis, holding the agencies accountable to performance.
- Work with company partners including marketing, producers, and commercial teams to ensure support of priorities.
- Maintain relationships with external partners & platforms to identify new opportunities.
- Create reports from multiple data sources including analytics platforms and internal databases.
- Develop templates and present weekly updates to partners on performance including recommendations on how to improve.



**Qualifications:**

- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 or more years of audience development experience.
- Ability to identify trends and provide insights, while maintaining an analytical mindset.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple time-sensitive projects with a collaborative and committed approach to business.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment.
- Analytical and results driven.
- Experience with SEO as it pertains to the publishing industry.
- Experience with Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and Google News Publisher Center.

NYC Pay Range: $50,000 - $180,000
