Citigroup BP&A Senior Analyst - Finance / Co-source Management in New York, New York

The BP&A Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. This role provides the Internal Audit organization with detail analysis of Internal Audit (IA) financial reporting and assists in co-source process management for all IA teams and staff levels. Assists with reporting needs and activities across all product / function /regional audit teams in multiple locations. Works closely with the Resource & Budget Management Director, SVP, and VP. This role is a key member of the IA Resource and Budget Management team and works closely with key partners at Citi. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required.


  • Develop financial forecasts and review/analyze IA financial budget and actuals trends

  • Monitor and track expenses, accruals and adjustments

  • Compile/generate and analyze reporting data/trends and provide periodic reporting to senior management clearly and concisely

  • Assist in consultant/co-source resource planning and management

  • Partner with key internal stakeholders in IA and Citi Finance and Citi Operations and Technology functions to execute consultant/co-source-related processes

  • Provide ad hoc analysis as deemed necessary working with the multiple stakeholders including EMT, HR, Finance, and Operations and Technology functions

  • Ensure that established guidelines/policies/procedures are adhered to and updated as necessary

  • Directly reports and provides support to the Internal Audit Resource & Budget Management Finance and Strategic Projects SVP

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent preferred

  • 5-8 years of relevant financial experience

  • Familiarity with finance functions and systems

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, deadline-oriented environment and flexibility to work hours necessary to meet tight deadlines

  • A self-starter, self-confident individual who is detailed oriented, has well developed listening skills, can engage a small group and possess the ability to identify and escalate issues as they arise

  • Effective negotiation and data analysis skills. This individual must be an articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writing, with an energetic, charismatic and approachable style

  • Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels of internal and external audit and management

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including proficiency in Excel / Access/ PowerPoint
