What you’ll do

As the Brand Manager- Innovation, you will be immersed in KIND’s dynamic, fast-paced culture as a key member of the New Ventures and Innovation team, which is focused on building business in new categories, as well as launching innovation for the core. Above all, the Brand Manager on Innovation will experience brand marketing at a company whose mission is to produce the highest quality product but is also equally focused on its social mission and unique brand ethos.

The Brand Manager will manage innovation for key launches. You will champion KIND for internal and external stake holders ensuring clarity and consistency across all KIND touch points. This current focus is on innovation, however we are fast-paced and ever-changing, so you will need to be a good business athlete with a well-rounded Brand Marketing background.

Marketing Innovation Strategy

  • Support Vice President of New Ventures & Innovation in development of KIND Innovation Portfolio Strategy

  • Become an expert in category dynamics and healthy snack landscape, developing actionable insights to position the brand for growth

  • Inform long-term brand strategy including brand objectives, positioning, consumer targeting, marketing plans

  • Ensure flawless development and execution of brand marketing tactics and activations, with a focus on non-traditional advertising/promotion

  • Brand Equity Development

  • Continually search for new, industry-specific opportunities within creative and lifestyle aspects to ensure relevant and strategic positioning of KIND brand

  • Review and direct design of KIND marketing materials to ensure quality and design standards

  • Develop launch kit and ACV targets for sales team

  • Develop best-in-class toolkit and resources for KIND’s expansive Field Marketing team

  • Identify new opportunities to fill pipeline and ensure portfolio sufficiency including:

  • New formats of current products

  • New flavors of current products

  • New sub-ranges within the Bar category

  • Work with NPD to create the entire marketing mix for line extensions

  • Lead packaging design work, managing external agency partners

  • Ability to coach direct-report(s) across many facets of Marketing and Business Analytics, as well as facilitate key discussions and decisions

Required Experience:

You have…

  • Minimum 4 years CPG or lifestyle brand marketing: experience working with a Field Marketing team is a plus

  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills with ability to influence and build strong working relationships at all levels

  • Commitment to excellence with high quality standards and attention to detail

  • Confident, driven, self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work autonomously

  • Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to maintain an entrepreneurial spirit while applying critical and strategic rigor

  • Demonstration of creativity and collaboration to further the KIND personality and relevance

  • Passion for marketing lifestyle brands, and living the KIND core values
