Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP Business Analyst in New York, New York

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with over 4,000 lawyers and staff in 31 offices is currently seeking a Business Analyst, reporting to the Senior Director of Knowledge Solutions. The Business Analyst translates business requirements into a total product solution that includes both software and business processes for medium to large scale initiatives. Manages user experience and functionality by designing new products and enhancing existing products through technically rigorous, strategically sound business analysis. Ensures the success of new products and functionality through the development of supporting business processes, demonstration examples and training scenarios.

Works with stakeholders to understand, assign business value to, prioritize, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
Works with developers to understand the technical implications of the requirements
Reconciles all perspectives into a cohesive, prioritized, and detailed plan, including UI wireframes and user experience flows.
Gathers and writes business and functional requirements.
Helps document user experience for Knowledge Solution applications.
Works closely with the data management team to define interaction of data with other systems/databases.
Creates documentation for Knowledge Solutions products.
Creates and analyzes other documentation including but not limited to user stories, requirements tractability matrices, release notes, training scenarios, test cases.
Acts as functionality expert for Knowledge Solutions applications
Assists in development of supporting business processes
Suggests process improvements
With Project Manager, tracks development progress and drive projects through to completion.
Leads UAT efforts with QA to test application changes and features.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

This job requires:
a Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university,
Minimum 4 years working as a Business Analyst; or, equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have be proficient in the following software:
SharePoint experience a plus
JIRA and Confluence experience a plus

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Recommended but not required:
Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
