Amazon Corporate LLC Buyer, Buying in New York, New York
Shopbop is looking for a seasoned, results-oriented Buyer. The buyer will have a deep understanding of business and vendor needs and core merchandise planning practices and can profitably translate those into the right category strategy for the Shopbop customer. This individual will have applicable experience in assortment planning, in-season management, vendor negotiations, co-op management and OTB forecasting. This candidate is expected to float between product categories and may shift between merchandise buying and planning functions to address changing business needs.

6+ year's relevant experience in retail or e-commerce.
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
Comprehensive knowledge of the vendors that make up the designer market segment, both established and emerging.
Proven negotiation skills and vendor management experience required.
Technical aptitude with web-based tools and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Fashion-forward sensibility and the demonstrated ability to identify key items and trends in the marketplace and execute a merchandising strategy to profitability drive sales.
Strong numeric and analytic aptitude, including in-depth understanding of the Open-To-Buy and the financial metrics that drive it.
Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of and drive business performance.
High level of professionalism and positive, forward-thinking, team oriented attitude.
Solid organizational and time-management skills and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
