American Express Campus Recruitment Manager - Business Advisory in New York, New York

Description

In this role, the Manager will create a business unit (BU) support model that is consistent across each business to ensure that the Business Advisory team is working jointly with key partners in each BU. The manager will ensure there are consistent updates to internal stakeholders with business support teams and senior leadership to align about upcoming campus needs. The manager will ensure that there is clarity and alignment on the campus objectives and processes, and active participation from the BUs supporting the Campus objectives. The Manager will create a playbook that outlines the Business Advisor internal processes supporting Campus recruiting, Summer Internship Program, First Year Experience and Campus Diversity provides a clear understanding about the roles and responsibilities of all key players (campus team and the business). This position will have direct reports.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership, consultation, and quality oversight on the Stakeholder engagement strategy

  • Partner with colleagues on the overall talent acquisition strategy leveraging tools, resources, and thought leadership across key functions: Assessment & Selection, Marketing & Branding, and/or Operations

  • Design and deliver process improvement initiatives

  • Create collateral for our internal stakeholders that will help increase education about the recruitment process (talent profiles, interview guides, etc.).

  • Partner with internal stakeholders (business unit support teams) to secure summer intern and full-time hiring targets

  • Manage talent profiles and job description with Legal and the Campus recruiters to kick-off campus season

  • Work with business unit support teams to identify a specific value proposition for each BU

  • Provide updates about the diversity efforts to senior leaders and business unit support teams

  • Host business unit deep dive sessions in team meetings to increase education

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and ongoing development for direct reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

  • 4 years total experience in recruiting, human resources and general management (experience with people management required)

  • Excellent knowledge in all full lifecycle recruiting components to support Campus and Program management strategies

  • Excellent project management skills and people management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and develop and implement large, complex strategic programs

  • Strong analytical thinking skills and ability to develop and track metrics

  • Strong business acumen
