Job Description

The Strategic Equity Solutions Group (SESG) operates within Equity Capital Markets and advises U.S. Corporate & Investor Clients on convertible origination, cash and derivative share repurchase strategies, hedging and monetization of crossholdings, and structured capital raising tools.

The team originates and executes transactions across all industry groups within GCIB and provides vast exposure to many areas of the firm including GCIB, DCM and High Yield, Convertible Sales & Trading, and Cash Equity & Equity Derivative Trading

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execution of both transaction and origination projects

  • Work closely with senior colleagues to prepare pitchbook presentations and marketing materials

  • Financial modeling and pricing of convertible securities and equity derivatives (Black Scholes Options Modeling)

  • Communicating and interacting with internal partners and product areas as well as with clients and other external parties

  • Managing several projects at once and working effectively as an individual and as part of a team

  • Participating in the recruitment, development and training of junior resources (summer analysts/associates, incoming classes)

Qualifications

  • BS/BA required, plus 3-4 years of work experience in financial services

  • Strong interest in global capital markets

  • Outstanding academic qualifications

  • Knowledge of Black-Scholes option pricing a plus (or ability to pick up quickly)

  • A track record of superior performance in professional and extracurricular activities

  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills, attention to detail and client focus

  • Distinguished written and oral communications skills for basic client communication

  • Teamwork skills integral to working with broader ECM team

  • Assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic and team focus
