The Investments & Client Solutions finance team reports to the JPMWM CFO and partners with the U.S. Wealth Management leadership team to strategically grow our investments market share in the United States. The team's mandate includes strategic financial analysis and business management.

Position Overview:

Investments & Client Solutions Finance team is seeking an experienced leader and seasoned manager to lead Digital & Client Solutions Finance team. We are looking for a strategic thinker to serve as a trusted advisor to the head of Online Investing and Digital & Client Solutions. The leader will work closely with this team to advance our strategic priorities, collaborate with a matrixed team, and run day-to-day execution of the business agenda.

The director's responsibilities will include end-to-end business management, business cases for strategic initiatives, driving toward profitability for all client solutions (i.e., Online Investing, Retirement, Product Continuum, Inclusive Investing, Lending Products), shaping the culture and community for all of Digital & Client Solutions.

  • Serve as go-to partner and trusted advisor to the Head of Online Investing & Digital Client Solutions and her leadership team. Partner with the team to advance priorities on a daily basis

  • Be a trusted advisor and counterweight to the Head of Digital & Client Solutions, develop strategy, and solve problems

  • Lead a team of eight talented and thoughtful VPs and associates

  • Own and project-manage high-profile strategic initiatives in partnership with key partners, collaborate across team; influence on business leader's behalf; foster partnerships and delegate horizontally

  • Plan for and control the annual budget in partnership with the broader finance team; manage revenue for Online Investing, manage expenses and approve headcount for all of the Online Investing and Digital & Client Solutions organization

  • Understand key financial and operational drivers, with a detailed understanding of revenue drivers and key expenses, and monthly performance

  • Own business cases for new strategic initiatives, prepare reporting & dashboards

  • Prepare business review agendas and decks, schedule and run business review prep sessions, coordinate follow-ups; participate in Product QBRs, run staff meeting

  • Run data analytics, read the P&L, create story lines and analyses for marketing-related projects, address ad hoc request

  • Create and own culture and community for Digital & Client Solutions teams and partners; communicate at scale with our partners, organize and run town halls, round tables

  • Manage, coach and mentor a talented team

  • Recruit and mentor top talent


  • Change agent passionate about partnering with the D&CS leadership team on driving business results through strategic financial planning and business management

  • Established people leader with a proven track record of managing large teams (8+ member) and influencing horizontally

  • Outstanding written and verbal communications and ability to tailor message and style to different constituencies (e.g., Finance, Executive Management)

  • Strong personal management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple (often changing and competing) deliverables at same time; ability to adjust and foster confidence in a start-up like culture

  • Bachelor's degree with a relevant Master's degree preferred

  • 10+ years relevant Financial Services experience

  • Superior analytical skills; experience in wealth management, digital, or technology preferred but not required

  • Ability to influence and advise executive management

  • Business savvy and commercial judgment
