Role description:

We are looking for a seasoned Climate Risk Specialist with 5 years of experience to lead our climate risk assessment practice. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in climate data analysis and client interfacing to deliver innovative solutions to our clients. Join our team and make a significant impact on climate resilience efforts worldwide. Our team is open to candidates in several locations throughout the U.S. to work in a hybrid role.

Role accountabilities:

  • Lead and work closely with cross-functional teams in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting climate data to assess risks.
  • Utilize advanced GIS tools and techniques to conduct spatial analysis and visualize climate-related risks.
  • Develop algorithms and models to uncover insights from complex climate datasets.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, understanding their unique needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Assist in the management of climate risk assessment projects, including developing project schedules and budgets and overseeing their successful delivery.
  • Drive the development of cutting-edge methodologies and tools for climate risk assessment.
  • Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies in climate science and data analytics.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geography, climatology, computer science, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in climate data analysis, risk assessment, and client delivery.
  • Expertise in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) for advanced spatial analysis and visualization.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for developing customized solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead tasks and/or projects, solve complex problems, and deliver actionable insights to clients.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong commitment to environmental sustainability and driving positive change through work.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD& D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $88, 000 - $154, 000. Please note salary will depend on location individual is hired
