Clinical Informatics Lead
The Clinical Informatics Lead position utilizes the Registered Nurse's expertise in both clinical and technological areas. The Clinical Informatics Lead will assist in the development and on-going enhancement of new applications, and assist in all areas of assessment, implementation and evaluation of new clinical system functionality in outpatient areas. The Clinical Informatics Lead will assist the clinical staff to translate the application of the integrated clinical process into automation to support clinical workflow.
A bachelor’s degree in nursing is required. A master’s degree in nursing or informatics is required.
NYS licensed registered nurse is required.
Experience working in or supporting ambulatory areas is preferred
3-5 years’ experience in implementation, optimization and support of clinical IT projects is preferred
Experience with EPIC required, EPIC certification preferred
A seasoned professional with strong management experience in healthcare/hospitals is highly desirable. Experience in academic, multi-specialty institutions, with some knowledge of orthopedics, is highly desirable.
Excellent leadership skills and experience managing a department through well-established performance management skills.
Technology and system savvy; excellent MS Office capability (Word, Visio, Access, Excel, Project. PowerPoint); good working knowledge of reports and analytics.
