What we?re looking for: EHE is looking for a talented Cloud Engineer who will be a critical part of a team of seasoned application developers and infrastructure engineers. The Cloud Engineer will build the platform for the next generation of ground-breaking healthcare platforms which support both our clinical processes and engaging consumers in their healthcare journey. In this role you will have the opportunity to make a tangible contribution in this 106-year-old ?startup?.We are looking for an individual who will immediately become an integral member of the team. You'll work closely with key members of our Development, QA, and Infra/Ops team in defining and enhancing our Cloud capabilities and DevOps program. In this role, you will:

  • Deliver, operate, and improve a fully cloud-enabled platform

  • Advance our ability to leverage cloud-native application development patterns and practices

  • Understand modern software engineering, development, release and management practices

  • Collaborate with partners and clients how to implement and maintain platforms

  • Bring demonstrated experience in container runtime and orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker)

  • Troubleshoot critical development and production issues

  • Translate legal, compliance and security requirements in the real world to the technical and process controls required to meet them in the cloud

  • Define, instrument and achieve standards for monitoring, reliability and performance

    What the role requires:

  • Bachelor?s in Computer Science, Engineering, business or related field

  • 4+ years' experience architecting, building, and maintaining large complex cloud environments with a focus on secure design

  • Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms such as CloudFormation, Terraform, the AWS SDK/API, or Azure Resource Manager

  • Scripting and development skills (e.g. BASH, Perl, Python or Java) with strong knowledge of regular expressions

  • General networking and security troubleshooting (firewalls, routing, NAT, etc.)

  • Experience authoring security runbooks, policy, and best practice documentation

  • AWS Architect and AWS Security certifications or similar preferred

  • Experience with automation tools: Ansible, SaltStack, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, etc.

  • Experience in IaaS / cloud providers: AWS, Azure, GCE, IBM Cloud

  • Functional knowledge of virtualization platforms: vmware or OpenStack

  • Exposure to log aggregation / management: Elastic Stack, fluentd, Splunk

  • Experience in CI/CD: Jenkins, Pipelines, Circle.ci, Travis.ci

  • Desire to operate in an agile operating environment
