Position Summary:

The Coordination of Benefits Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the benefits for members with multiple insurance coverage. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of claims, resolving issues related to benefit coordination, and providing exceptional support to members and providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze member eligibility data to determine the order of benefits.

  • Coordinate with other insurance carriers to confirm coverage details and benefits.

  • Collaborate with the Claims Revenue Operations team to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of claims, while maintaining compliance with coordination of benefits rules and regulations

  • Engage with our Patient Advocate team to assist in communicating coordination of benefits procedures to our members and addressing any issues or concerns they may have.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to coordination of benefits activities.

  • Collaborate with internal departments, such as member services and claims processing, to ensure a seamless experience for members.

  • Stay updated on changes in coordination of benefits regulations and industry best practices.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to coordination of benefits.

  • Dispatch documentation to the carrier to facilitate the coordination of benefits for fertility services and services being submitted for reimbursement

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in health insurance, claims processing, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of coordination of benefits rules and regulations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with members, providers, and internal teams.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with healthcare claims processing systems.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $50,000 - $60,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
