The Role: Commercial Data & Analytics Summer Internship

The Team: S&P DJI’s commercial team oversees the strategy and operations of the Client Coverage (client facing, revenue generating) and Channel Management (index adoption and expansion) teams. The Summer Intern is responsible for assisting the product management team for Salesforce, our software that supports our client facing stakeholders within S&P DJI. This role works in close collaboration with nearly all internal departments – Marketing, Product Management, Research & Design, Legal, Finance, Client Services and Technology. Our delivery of best-in-class commercial platforms and tools enables our front-line commercial team to successfully partner with our prospects and customers.

Responsibilities and Impact: The Summer Intern role works in close collaboration with nearly all S&P DJI internal departments. As a Summer Intern, you will be responsible for assisting the Salesforce team in establishing and managing a data governance and quality assurance process within Salesforce, gathering, and prioritizing stakeholder business requirements and ensuring the successful launch of new and enhanced functionality. Additionally, the Summer Intern will be responsible for assisting with the creation of reports and other visualization tools to gain actionable, business intelligence from our commercial platforms to drive S&P DJI strategic priorities.

Your objective is to help the Salesforce team address the needs of our stakeholders and create the best possible suite of commercial platforms by:

• Assisting project owners on numerous high profiles, high impact deliverables for the Commercial teams within S&P DJI.

• Support the Salesforce team in driving the product roadmap and execution for Commercial Platforms in coordination with key stakeholders and decision makers.

• Assisting in go-to-market strategies for Commercial platform rollouts/launches.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $25 - $30. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications:

• Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics or equivalent completed no later than May 2025

• An interest in Salesforce or other CRM platforms

• Ability to collaborate effectively with a team of stakeholders across the Commercial Excellence team as well as work independently.

• Basic knowledge of visualization software such as PowerBi, Tableau, Einstein Analytics a plus

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent attention to detail with great time management skills

• History of teamwork and proven ability to deliver results

• Microsoft Office: specifically Excel and PowerPoint

• Comfortable coming into the office at least 2 times a week
